I recently spent time with a marketing agency made up of Millennials and learned some interesting facts about the cohort. Being a Baby Boomer of a certain age I mistakenly thought that we Boomers were in the majority, but guess what—we aren’t anymore.
Millennials outnumber Baby Boomers by 7.7 million. Over ¼ of the population in the US is comprised of Millennials. On a global scale, there are more than 83.1 million Millennials, the group born between the early 1980s and the early 2000s. Millennials are the largest population of income-earners, spenders, and therefore, consumers today with an estimated purchase power of $1.68 trillion.
